Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician on 2nd or 3rd shift to support our production operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Corrugated packaging industry experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order.
• On-call emergency repairs and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Execute a plan for continued improvement of machine safety and housekeeping.
• Work with crews to complete preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot with machine operator to determine root causes.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to resolve safety issues and improve uptime.
