Meiji America Inc. / D.F. Stauffer's is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to keep our lines running smoothly and read complex drawings to troubleshoot independently. Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• Formal technical training or 5 years in industrial maintenance.
• Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Millwright skills.
• Experience with PLCs and bakery/high speed packaging equipment a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals.
• Interpret work orders and complete them in a timely manner.
• Install plumbing components when necessary.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and use advanced test equipment.
• Follow complex procedures and look for defects or potential issues.
• Read complex drawings and troubleshoot independently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and replace/update parts to resolve recurring causes.

Job description

We are currently looking for talentedMaintenance Technicians to join our team for the 3rd shift.If you have the skills and experience to keep our operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you!

As a Maintenance Technician at Meiji America/Stauffer's, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. You will ensure that all repairs are performed safely and efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance on all production equipment to keep our operations running smoothly.

Duties

• Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere
• Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times
• Comply with all GMP requirements
• Capable of dismantling equipment, removing defective parts and reassembling without supervision
• Able to read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals
• Able to interpret work orders and complete them in a timely manner
• Willing to make suggestions on improvements on replacement substitutes
• Able to install plumbing components when necessary
• Basic welding knowledge and welding skills
• Be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment
• Able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• Demonstrate ability to use advanced test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions
• Able to follow complex procedures, perform preventative maintenance tasks and look for hard-to-find defects or potential issues and correct them as needed
• Able to read complex drawings and troubleshoot independently
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and replace and update parts to resolve recurring causes
• Able to read complex pneumatic and air logic drawings and troubleshoot independently
• Able to read and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and systems and replace parts without assistance
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to read and record written instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Must be willing and able to maintain open, effective communication with team members as well as departmental and plant leadership
• Must adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices
• Must pass Lock Out/Tag Out and PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certifications
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications Needed:

• High School or equivalent
• Successful completion of a formal technical training program or 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance role
• Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Millwright skills
• Experience with PLC's, high speed packaging equipment and bakery equipment a plus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Experience:
