A leading food manufacturer in York, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. You will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues while performing preventative maintenance on equipment. Ideal candidates have experience in industrial maintenance and are familiar with PLC systems and packaging equipment. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $36.56 per hour and a variety of benefits.

Qualifications

Must have 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
Required skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and millwright.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for talented Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the 3rd shift. If you have the skills and experience to keep our operations running smoothly, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician at Meiji America/Stauffer's, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. You will ensure that all repairs are performed safely and efficiently. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance on all production equipment to keep our operations running smoothly.

Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
Maintains a clean, safe work area at all times.
Comply with all GMP requirements.
Capable of dismantling equipment, removing defective parts and reassembling without supervision.
Able to read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals.
Able to interpret work orders and complete them in a timely manner.
Willing to make suggestions on improvements on replacement substitutes.
Able to install plumbing components when necessary.
Basic welding knowledge and welding skills.
Be proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment.
Able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
Demonstrate ability to use advanced test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve problems with complex equipment and solutions.
Able to follow complex procedures, perform preventative maintenance tasks and look for hard-to-find defects or potential issues and correct them as needed.
Able to read complex drawings and troubleshoot independently.
Able to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and replace and update parts to resolve recurring causes.
Able to read complex pneumatic and air logic drawings and troubleshoot independently.
Able to read and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and systems and replace parts without assistance.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to read and record written instructions.
Ability to work independently.
Must be willing and able to maintain open, effective communication with team members as well as departmental and plant leadership.
Must adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices.
Must pass Lock Out/Tag Out and PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certifications.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent.
Successful completion of a formal technical training program or 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance role.
Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Millwright skills.
Experience with PLCs, high speed packaging equipment and bakery equipment a plus.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
