Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. The technician will work closely with production staff to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment, including machinery, conveyors, and electrical systems.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
Installation: Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and work collaboratively with other team members to resolve issues.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ year(s) of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with production staff and other technicians..
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform duties.

2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
3rd Shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
