North Star Sheets in Cottage Grove, MN seeks a Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts to troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on high‑pressure boiler and state‑of‑the‑art industrial equipment. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have three years of industrial maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on state-of-the-art industrial equipment and high pressure boiler.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in the facility.
• Maintain reliability and safety on automated machinery and support team objectives.

North Star Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for Maintenance Technician's (2nd & 3rd Shift) in Cottage Grove, MN. As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our state-of-the-art industrial equipment and high pressure boiler. You will also work with our mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in the facility.

North Star Sheets seeks the following skills and abilities:

• 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery (motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems).
• Strong problem solving skills.
• An understanding of steam and blower/vacuum systems.
• Ability to read and interpret both electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with the Microsoft suite.
• Ability to work various shifts and overtime.
• An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team.
• The ability to function as a mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates.
• The willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team.
• Class 2B Boilers License or better, preferred.
• Corrugated background is a plus, but not required.
