Job summary

Husco in Whitewater, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and competency in mechanical and electrical repairs, along with the ability to trouble shoot various systems. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance and familiarity with CNC machines. The position offers a weekend schedule and includes benefits such as weekly pay, health insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

  • Full‑time, weekend schedule: Friday to Monday, 10 am – 8 pm*

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance, routine, and emergency repairs to support production and facility equipment, ensuring safety and effective communication with management and peers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including CNC machines (Okuma MA600HB/Makino a61nx‑a81nx), assembly line equipment, automated assembly/test equipment, and general facility infrastructure.
  • Operate fabrication tools such as lathes, mills, and drill presses for part repair and modification.
  • Manage industrial waste by ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous and universal waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency while working independently.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Suggest improvements to equipment and manufacturing processes to improve uptime, reliability, and safety.
  • Assist the engineering team on special projects.
Requirements

  • Familiarity with special‑purpose machinery and automated systems.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of codes and regulations (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, etc.).
