Job summary

Capital Vacations, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 2 to repair and maintain resort equipment and systems. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires strong problem-solving ability and leadership of maintenance staff. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing maintenance plans within budget, performing preventive and emergency maintenance, and coordinating repairs across

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Experience in supervisory level resort maintenance.
• CPO or AFO certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance staff to ensure safe, efficient resort operations.
• Repair and maintain equipment and systems; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Schedule preventive and emergency maintenance and track work orders.
• Assist in implementing maintenance plans within budget constraints.
• Coordinate repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related systems; maintain pool.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team In this role you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining various equipment and systems to ensure their optimal functioning You will perform routine inspections troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs as necessary The ideal candidate has a strong background in maintenance work possesses excellent problem solving skills and is committed to ensuring a safe and efficient work environment

• Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through effective supervision of maintenance staff
• Assists as required in solving complex maintenance problems capable of rapid decision making
• Assists in the implementation of maintenance plans with considerations of budgetary constraints
• Supervises the overall activities of the maintenance staff as required
• Trains and mentors development of staff
• Follows up on maintenance technician jobs to ensure the quality of work
• Schedules and performs routine preventative and emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
• Completes work orders and daily projects reported by the front desk and otherwise assigned during shift
• Assists in assigning duties to all employees
• Performs a variety of skilled work in the maintenance repair and upkeep of resort buildings and units including carpentry plumbing filter maintenance and light fixture maintenance
• Maintains swimming pool
• Coordinates or installs inspects repairs and maintains the electrical plumbing mechanical and other related systems
• Coordinates or installs operates and maintains the heating cooling and ventilation systems
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Heres what you have already achieved

• High School diplomaGED
• Have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance
• Have and maintain a good driving record clear of significant violations
• Degree from a vocational school or BScBA in Facility Management is preferred
• Experience in supervisory level resort maintenance
• One 1 to two 2 years of experience in building and facilities maintenance
• Certified Pool Operator CPO or Aquatic Facility Operator AFO certification
• Hazardous material handling training within six 6 months of hire date
• One 1 year experience in the care maintenance and repair of large commercial or public swimming pools and associated equipment and facilities
• Ability to multi task ability to spot safety risks and address quickly proficient knowledge of OSHA Guidelines and regulations
• Excellent communication skills;
• written and verbal organization and leadership skills problem solving skills knowledge of Microsoft Office productsFlexible work schedule
