Job summary

TREW is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment on a 1st shift in our Chicago facility. This role emphasizes mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, PMs, and supporting new factory startup alongside Engineering and contractors.

You will diagnose and repair a wide range of automated equipment, interpret schematics, and use diagnostic tools to improve reliability and safety while following LOTO and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in industrial maintenance with automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting across hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Able to read schematics, drawings and manuals for diagnostics.
• Willing to support occasional after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, control circuits, and automation using drawings and tools.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform safe repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and reliability-focused tasks.
• Create and follow preventive schedules; document labor and parts.
• Assist with startup, installation, and ramp-up of new equipment.
• Maintain records, spare parts lists, and CMMS entries.
