Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Youngsville, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at our new Innovation Loop site. You will work with production teams to support line setup, equipment modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance. The role requires hands-on problem solving and strong mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and at least 5 years of maintenance experience. Relocation is not provided and local candidates within 50 miles are preferred.

The pay rate for this position is$27per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production teams to support initiative including line set up and relocation, equipment modifications and repairs and preventative maintenance.
In this function you will:

• Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary repairs.
• Record and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Requisition parts, materials, labor and support to complete job tasks.
• Fabricate replacement parts as needed for machinery.
• Lead and manage special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding experience and / or certifications
• Hazardous waste management / Hazardous waste operations emergency response
• Lock Out / Tag Out Certified
• HVAC training and / or certifications
• Basic experience with computers and Microsoft Office.

Position Criteria:

• Knowledge of electrical systems and devices
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
