Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 - Daylight 4x10's to join our brand new team in Jonesville, SC!

This position will work a 4x10 schedule from 5 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. However, these hours can flex to support before and after shift business needs as our team grows and ramps up in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $29-38.40 per hour.

This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $1,000*, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.

What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Tech II is the “third level” progression role on the plant’s industrial maintenance team. Your priority is to be safe and to look out for your team's safety. Speak up and if you aren’t sure, Stop, Stand Back and Get Help. You will also manage your Quality and Labor Efficiency, while ensuring maximum equipment uptime. Your supervisor or the Maintenance Planner will direct your work. You will be responsible for the successful completion of the work orders assigned to you as well as other duties assigned to you by your supervisor or plant leadership.

In this role, you will:

• Adhere to all Eaton safety policies and procedures while playing a proactive role in our safety culture by identifying hazards and completing corrective actions.
• Partner with the Maintenance Operations Team through active communication, learning, and being adaptable to change.
• Mentor and train junior maintenance team members and share knowledge within your team to drive continuous improvement.
• Complete equipment installations, refurbishments, and coordinate work with internal and external resources.
• Read and comprehend manuals, schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Complete industrial electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical work throughout the plant.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), root cause analysis, and troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• One of the following is required:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing, facilities, or industrial maintenance.
• Completion of an associate’s degree or technical program in Industrial or Mechanical Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity, Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing, facilities, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F‑1 to H‑1B cap registration, O‑1, E‑3, TN status, I‑485 job portability, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience completing mechanical or electrical repairs.
• Experience completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Machining operations with setup and operation (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
• Basic welding experience.
• Experience using predictive and precision tools and technologies.

Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, or other mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment, use hand tools, measuring tools, and basic mechanical systems.
• Strong technical skills or knowledge in Electrical (including PLCs), Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical systems.
