H-J Family of Companies in High Ridge, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain production equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The role involves training technicians, supporting facilities maintenance, and ensuring safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of multi-craft industrial maintenance experience, the ability to read schematics, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a multi-craft industrial maintenance technician.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and basic welding/ carpentry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including PLC machines.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Read blueprints/schematics to repair machinery and assist with general labor.
• Improve existing equipment and contribute to new machinery design and fabrication.
• Troubleshoot motor control panels (230v-480v 3-phase).
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts for moving machines and maintenance.
• Conduct maintenance around hydraulic presses in manufacturing.
• Ensure safety standards, maintain clean and organized workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, preventative maintenance, and upkeep of production equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery. This role also involves the training of department technicians in company policies, procedures, and SOPs. Additionally, the technician will assist with facilities maintenance as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled machines.
• Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvements.
• Work from blueprints and schematics to repair machinery and assist in general labor as needed.
• Maintain and improve existing equipment and contribute to the design and fabrication of new machinery.
• Troubleshoot machine motor control panels (familiarity with 230v-480v 3-phase systems required).
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts to move machines and conduct high-level maintenance.
• Conduct maintenance around hydraulic presses in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain clean, organized workspaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous production experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with good communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Thorough understanding of reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, manufacturer instructions, and service manuals.
• Technical skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and utility systems.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Availability to work overtime as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a multi-craft industrial maintenance technician.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift

Shift Details

1st Shift is M-TH, 4 X 10-hour shifts, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm.

All employees are expected to work overtime hours as needed.
Overtime is typically twice a month on Fridays and are 8-hour shifts.
