Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (6:30am - 3pm). The role performs maintenance on facility and production equipment to ensure high-quality products.

You will install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, contributing to a member-owned co-op focused on Rooted In Tomorrow. Join our Omnium business and help keep plants efficient and safe while supporting the production of crop protection, adjuvant, and plant nutrition

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful.
• 1 to 3+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience.
• Forklift experience.

• Monitors performance of plant machinery and equipment for proper operating performance; performs regular and preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots, and inspections on all machinery and equipment; documents work accordingly.
• Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
SHIFT: 1st shift, 6:30am - 3pm
PAY: $31.60 per hour, with the potential for a higher starting rate based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing maintenance of the facility and production equipment to ensure our plants can add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You’ll be responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, and necessary repairs for the facility and the production equipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow. This role is part of our Omnium business who is a loyal partner in the manufacturing of crop protection, adjuvant, and plant nutrition products.

• 1 to 3+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience
• Forklift experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
