Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Barre Town, VT. You will maintain facility and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations on the first shift, Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; adherence to safety and SOPs; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dairy processing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience
• Basic computer and math skills
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

• Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment

Maintenance Technician III Role Focus: Maintenance Technician III Pay: $37.95 per hour Shift & Working Hours: 1st shift Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing maintenance of the facility and production equipment to ensure our plants can add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You’ll be responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, and necessary repairs for the facility and the production equipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow. Required Experience and Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older
• 1 year of industrial or building facility maintenance experience
• Basic computer and math skills

Preferred Experience:

• 1 to 3+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience
• Forklift experience

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
