Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Pewaukee/Waukesha area facility in Wisconsin. The role focuses on HVAC emergency, routine and preventive maintenance, equipment testing, and hands-on problem solving.

You will support safety, train staff, and assist other facilities functions as needed. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, with experience in industrial equipment, automation or repair.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in building/facilities maintenance and industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with automation or product repair is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • General facilities repairs such as painting, wallpaper repair, bathroom fixture repairs.
  • HVAC inspections/PMs, filter changes, belt changes; most other work outsourced.
  • Water testing and training on procedure.
  • Office furniture moving and disposal.
  • Facility cleaning both inside and outside.
  • Trash and recycle removal and management.
  • Snow removal.
  • Grass cutting, trimming, and cleanup.
  • Landscaping.
  • Parking lot cleaning.
  • Painting including cleaning and prepping.

Job Location: W236N1402 Busse Rd, Waukesha, WI 53188

The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform HVAC emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance including changing filters and belts while maintaining safety, communicating effectively, and training employees. Responsible for equipment testing, daily problem solving, preventive maintenance, quick fix and repairs, fill in for facilities personnel, moving office or conference room furniture, rooftop units, overhead doors, and assisting other facilities maintenance functions as needed.



  • General facilities repairs, such as painting, wallpaper repair, bathroom fixture repairs

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
