Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a forklift-ready associate to support material handling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift: 3:00pm–11:00pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime 3:00pm–1:00am on alternating Saturdays if required; Pay: $22.60/hour base plus $2.50/hour shift premium for a total of $25.10/hour. This role emphasizes following established procedures, operating equipment safely, participating in team meetings, and contributing to the Drive to Zero

• Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
• Developing a good knowledge of the company and may be assigned to projects for career development.
• Learning the principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.
• Developing the business knowledge required for the full job.
• May resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
• Follows defined procedures and practices.
• Contacts are typically with immediate supervisor and other members of the team in the immediate organization.
• Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
• Perform forklift daily inspections.
• Accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
• Participate in team meetings and exchange job related information.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, attendance, and quality.
• Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
• Practice safe working habits, following safety guidelines to operation and support of company initiatives.
• Know the basic functions of the ERP system.
• May assist in training of new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
• Actively understands and participates with the Drive to Zero program.

Physical Demands
