Job summary

JobSquad Staffing Solutions in Geneva, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st and 3rd shifts to support our growing manufacturing partner. The role involves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documentation of PMs.

Starting pay is $30.00-$35.00 per hour with a $1.50/hour third-shift differential and a $1,000-$3,000 sign-on bonus. Requires a 2-year trades degree or 4 years of plant maintenance experience, HS diploma, and ability to

Qualifications

• 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ and able to read, write and speak English (bilingual a plus).
• Communicate with sanitation manager, leads, supervisors and plant manager.
• Detail-oriented with legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Welding and fabrication; 3-phase electrical understanding; troubleshoot AC/DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and safety policies.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust.
• Detect faulty operations and report to maintenance manager.
• Use Microsoft Office to order parts and schedule jobs.
• Perform work safely under GMP guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Location

Pay/hours for position

Starting Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour plus shift differential pay plus Sign-on Bonus

3rd shift differential pay: $1.50 per hour extra

SHIFT HOURS:

1st Shift: 5:30am-2:00pm

3rd shift: 9:30pm - 6am

SIGN-ON BONUS INCENTIVE: $1,000-$3,000 sign on bonus

Requirements of position

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Able to communicate and take direction from Sanitation Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Attention to detail.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, tree phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drives.

Responsibilities of position

Job Summary

The Maintenance Tech performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of machines, equipment and plant facilities. This includes scheduled, unscheduled or emergency repairs. Perform regular preventive maintenance which also includes maintaining supporting documentation for the PM’s.

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
