Job summary

Fort Wayne, IN-based Zing Recruiting is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume manufacturing operation. This union position offers 12-hour shifts (6 AM to 6 PM / 6 PM to 6 AM), with near-unlimited overtime and a planned transition to three rotating shifts with weekends off.

Applicants should have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with 480V systems, and an interest in mentoring future technicians.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with 480V systems preferred.
• Automation and robotics experience is a major plus.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in mentoring others and helping develop future technicians.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep production running efficiently
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects
• Work with operations teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability
