Job summary

Kerry Owen, WI is hiring a 12-hour Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support the Dairy and Culinary division. The role involves repairing and maintaining equipment, installing and troubleshooting, and completing work orders with the Maintenance Planner.

You will join a safety-forward team committed to good manufacturing practices. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, log entries in CMMS, and participation in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Electrical 3-phase systems, PLCs and controls.
• Extensive repair experience with pumps, motors, filters and pipes.
• Welding, cutting and grinding with wide range of powered shop tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues and malfunctions.
• Repair, replace or rebuild process equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, plus grounds maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Planner.
• Log all work in the CMMS with hours worked per work order.
• Participate in Plant Safety Committee and safety trainings.

At our Owen, WI facility we are part of the Dairy and Culinary division and we make cheese powders, meal seasonings (mashed potato seasoning), dairy flavors and cheese sauce for our retail customers. We have an immediate opening for a 12 Hr Night Shift Maintenance Technician, 600PM - 600AM on a rotating schedule.

$3.00 Shift Differential for working Night Shift!

What You'll Do

You’ll work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems and malfunctions.
• Repair, replace or rebuild process equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
• Independently perform preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Planner per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
• Log all work performed on preventive maintenance work orders, repair work orders, and new equipment installations (including hours worked on each work order) in the CMMS program per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
• Serve on the Plant Safety Committee and attend company-sponsored Safety Training programs.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• Working knowledge of Electrical 3-phase systems, PLCs, and controls.
• Extensive experience repairing and/or replacing pumps, motors, filters, and pipes.
• Welding, cutting, and grinding, along with operation of a wide range of powered shop tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

On call

• Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to ensure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $39.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
