Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation seeks a Maintenance Tech-In-Training in Ohio to repair and maintain equipment, learn through a 60-week training program, and progress to a Maintenance Technician role. The position starts with an 8-hour day shift during training and transitions to a 12-hour rotation on the D Team.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting industrial mechanical and electrical systems, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade School Certification or an Associate in Industrial Maintenance is a plus.
• Must be able to work overtime and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Locate and diagnose failures; replace defective components and troubleshoot using manuals and prints.
• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment using hand tools and testing instruments.
• Install and repair electrical circuits, wiring, and power distribution.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment, inspect circuits for safety, and test operation.
• Maintain logs, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe shop practices.
• Support production teams and assist engineers as needed.
• Prepare equipment for operation and participate in training programs.
