Site: TNN - Chattanooga, TN

Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: LifeSaver Gummies (LSG)

Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (following a 2-2-3 rotation)

*Additional shift rotation details will be provided during the interview process.*

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing mechanical repairs on all assigned equipment, including basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g., packaging, conveying, processing, or facilities equipment).

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, handling, and gripping
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours per shift)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Technical Degree
  • 4+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Fundamental understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/drawings
  • Understanding of TPM Theory and Concepts

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, failed components, and perform centerline adjustments
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PM) and support operations with equipment setup and changeover
  • Document Work Orders (WOs) and PMs using SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems
  • Perform fabrication and/or machining work as required
  • Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams, train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities, and participate in breakdown analysis and elimination efforts
  • Adhere to maintenance and repair budgets while following maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Assist operations with anomaly handling
