Chattanooga, TN

Facilities Technician - 12 Hour Night Shift (follows a 2-2-3 rotation)

The Facilities Maintenance Technician operates, maintains, diagnoses repairs, and maintains boilers, piping, steam, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems, combustion equipment, industrial air compressors, wastewater treatment, and general facilities within the buildings. Responsibilities include scheduling and performing preventive maintenance and seasonal overhauls, analyzing and troubleshooting system malfunctions using drawings and schematics, and modifying equipment for efficiency. The technician supports energy management strategies, monitors energy usage, identifies savings opportunities, and collaborates with team members to maintain equipment in a high-paced, high-production environment. All duties are performed in compliance with GMP, food safety, safety, and quality policies, with miscellaneous duties assigned as needed.

The Facilities Technician plays a critical role, demonstrating individual performance, high sense of urgency, leadership, communication, teamwork, and cross-training abilities to ensure operational excellence and KPI achievement.

• High school diploma/GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of seven years' relevant experience and education.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, electrical circuits, industrial water treatment, environmental and safety regulations.
• Experience with TPM/Lean manufacturing and maintenance software is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and self-development skills.
