Facilities Technician - 12-hour Night Shift (Finance)

Job Location: Mars Wrigley - TNN Site, Chattanooga, TN

Position: Facilities Technician - 12 Hour Night Shift (2-2-3 rotation)

*Additional shift rotation details will be provided during the interview process.*

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician operates, maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains boilers, piping, steam, HVAC/R systems, combustion equipment, industrial air compressors, wastewater treatment, and general facilities within the buildings. Responsibilities include scheduling and performing preventive maintenance and seasonal overhauls, analyzing system malfunctions using drawings and schematics, troubleshooting, repairing or replacing components, and modifying equipment for efficiency. The technician supports energy management strategies by monitoring energy usage, identifying savings opportunities, and implementing energy reduction measures. Collaboration with Maintenance Technicians is essential to maintain equipment in a fast-paced, high-production environment. All activities must adhere to factory GMP, food safety, safety, and quality policies. Miscellaneous duties may be assigned by senior maintenance staff.

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED; technical schooling preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • At least seven years of relevant education and experience
  • High urgency and accountability
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on facilities and utilities equipment
  • Teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks
  • Prioritization skills to ensure repairs are completed promptly and root causes addressed within 14 days
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, electrical circuits, industrial water treatment, and related regulations
  • Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
  • Experience with environmental regulations and hazardous materials handling
  • Experience with TPM/Lean manufacturing is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office and maintenance management systems is a plus
  • Understanding of business and line goals
  • Adherence to GMP, food safety, safety, and quality policies
  • Other duties as assigned
