Job summary

Kobelco Aluminum Products & Extrusions Inc. in Bowling Green, KY, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 12-hour nights (5:30 PM to 5:30 AM). You will perform general maintenance, repairs on production equipment and facilities, and ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA safety rules.

You will troubleshoot motors, PLCs, and electrical systems, read diagrams, and perform preventive maintenance while coaching others and improving plant Kaizen and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of multi-skilled industrial maintenance experience.
• Skilled in electrical and mechanical repairs, hydraulics/pneumatics.
• PLC controls (preferred), Robot programming (preferred).
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders; use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors.
• PLC program troubleshooting.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Read and interpret electrical and other mechanical diagrams.
• Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT 5).
• Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose production equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, aerial lifts, and material handling equipment.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility/production equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other safety rules and regulations.

Educational Requirements
