Job description

Our client is currently seeking an Maintenance Technician

1st shift for the first 75 days of the probationary period. After that, the new tech will be bumped to the 2nd or 3rd shift. 3rd more than likely.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service times.
3. Perform maintenance technician skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
4. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, and test and adjust as required.
6. Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
7. Use a variety of hand and power tools, basic shop machinery, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
8. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Required Education and General Maintenance Experience

• Education Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED or Matriculation and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Minimum/Enrolled in a 2-year Associate’s Degree/Technical College Accreditation in Industrial Mechanics/Electrical/Automation.

Experience:

• 3+ years of maintenance technician experience with strong analysis and repair skills in:
• Electrical AC/DC systems
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Mechanical applications
• Power transmission systems
• Fluid mechanics/properties
• Tubing and hosing applications
• Operation of mobile equipment
• Machine safeguarding.

Bonus Qualifications/Experience

• Proficiency in PLC and ladder logic design/troubleshooting.
• Understanding of robots teach point and programming code.
