Job Requirements

Scope: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Physically examine the property on a regular basis.
  2. Manage repairs and maintenance with vendors and ensure proper care of the property.
  3. Maintain pools, landscaping, utilities, roads, signage, clubhouse, and other community infrastructure elements.
  4. Maintain and improve the quality of the community and keep public areas clean and safe.
  5. Supervise outside contractors working on the property.
  6. Adhere to all maintenance and purchasing directives, including property inspections, maintenance assignments, utility system readings, landscaping, safety, and special maintenance items.
  7. Prepare inventory homes for sale or rent.
  8. Troubleshoot any needs for the property.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in building trades, plumbing (interior and exterior), repair, and maintenance or handyman work.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
  • Ability to use email.
  • Valid driver’s license with 3 years of good driving history.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs following safety procedures.
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods.
  • Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces.
  • Work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
  • Walk, climb stairs, handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Navigate the property/building as required.
  • Repeat motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Detect auditory and visual emergency alarms.
Compensation

.00 - 2.00/hour (based on experience) plus up to 5% quarterly bonus and housing discount.
