Job summary

King & Prince Seafood is seeking a third shift Maintenance Technician to keep food processing and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced plant.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, document activities in CMMS, and uphold HACCP, safety and SOP standards to minimize downtime and support production goals. This role requires attention to detail and a sense of urgency in addressing equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and HACCP guidelines.
• Comfort with maintaining accurate documentation in CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Learn plant processing/packaging equipment issues with urgency.

Description

The third shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of food processing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires a high level of performance, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a sense of urgency when inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment. The technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining food safety, quality, and operational standards through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the duties and responsibilities may include:

• Operates at level of apprentice with sense of urgency to learn all plant processing/packaging equipment issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics on plant processing/packaging equipment.
• Maintains proper documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Complies with company safety, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP) and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday through Friday 10:00pm-6:00am
• Minimum High School diploma
• 1 to 3 years industrial maintenance experience
• Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness
• Able to lift 50 lbs intermittently
• Good industrial electrical knowledge.
• Good knowledge of the proper use of the tools of the trade
