Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain hydraulic and electronic systems ensuring maximum production quality and quantity while promoting safety throughout the maintenance department.
- Assist with reducing downtime and increasing efficiencies when completing repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Work toward accomplishing objectives regarding production, technology, and resource needs.
- Complete all assigned installs, tests, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Assist with strategies to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flow and production.
- Participate in all maintenance training to keep up with the latest operating procedures.
- Assist in operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and anticipate problems for continuous improvement.
- Complete maintenance KPIs such as asset utilization, maintenance cost PM, and other scheduled KPIs.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies while maintaining equipment, and perform any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent knowledge. Minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Thorough knowledge of world‑class maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies, troubleshoot problems, use technology to increase productivity, and keep technical skills up to date.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and customers.
- Ability to plan work on a daily schedule, work independently, and remain highly motivated.
- Basic arithmetic skills applicable to practical situations.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- High proficiency of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
