Hillview Mental Health Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance ensuring safe, functional facilities for clients and staff. You will coordinate with outside contractors and support a clean environment across healthcare and housing facilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years of building maintenance, and a California driver's license. Bilingual English/Spanish and healthcare facility experience are a plus.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to ensure Hillview

Mental Health Center and Valley Housing Foundation facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant. The

position performs routine building maintenance, coordinates with outside contractors, and supports a safe,

clean environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Essential Functions

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on building interiors and exteriors.
• Complete basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor electrical, and mechanical repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and after-hours emergencies as assigned.
• Coordinate access for contractors and vendors performing facility repairs.
• Order and maintain janitorial, maintenance, and facility supplies.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and recommend repair solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, infection control practices, and agency policies.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) years of building maintenance experience.
• Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 50

• Behavioral health clinics, administrative offices, and supportive housing facilities. Exposure to varying weather conditions, maintenance equipment, and occupied client environments.
