Job summary

Real Estate Equities is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Saint Paul, MN to join our on-site team. This non-exempt role reports to the Property Manager and offers a $1,000 hiring bonus, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities include providing excellent resident service, maintaining the property, handling maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to on-call properties.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with exceptional customer service and foster good resident relations.
• Be a valuable part of an effective on-site team.
• Maintain daily service request system and complete service requests.
• Perform follow up calls on service requests as necessary.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and complete preventive maintenance.
• Maintain physical appearance of the community.
• Work after-hours emergency on-call rotation, as scheduled.
• Repair and replace appliances.
• Maintain MSDS and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain maintenance inventory.
• Maintain safe and organized maintenance shop, storage, and mechanical rooms.
• Maintain lock out/tag out station of keys.
• Maintain apartment history cards, lighting, and snow logs.
• Work with contractors on snow removal, lawn care, etc.
• Monitor HVAC equipment
• Maintain pools if applicable both at your property or in on call POD
• Work in extremes of climate/temperatures (example: rain, snow, heat)
• Other duties as assigned
