Job summary

The company designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment, including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control, and energy solutions at company‑owned facilities in the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts such as control panels.
• Operate and maintain circuit breaker panels, bus rail feed systems, bus plugs, disconnect panels, conduit, and size conductors and fuses required to power plant equipment.
• Diagnose electrical problems on production equipment, using fuses, electrical feed sources, and control wiring.
• Communicate with OEM equipment technical support for troubleshooting assistance.
• Read, interpret, and make decisions based on technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and operating instructions.
• Work independently or as part of a maintenance team, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Perform electrical installations from 120–460volts and troubleshoot circuits.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including crawling, climbing, standing for extended periods, and operating tools in close proximity to electrical components.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to national and state electrical codes.

Shift & Schedule

1st Shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday. Overtime as scheduled, which may include weekends. 4‑5 day work week.

• Observing safety procedures and meeting national, state, and local electrical codes.

• Performing quality testing and inspections.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated self‑starter capable of managing projects and making decisions.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawling.
• Other duties as required.

Education & Experience

• Journeyman’s or Master Electrician’s license, and/or an associate degree from a two‑year college or technical school, and/or combined education and equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of electrical/controls experience.

Computer Skills

• Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
• PLC experience and familiarity with programming controllers.

Certificates & Licenses

• Electrical safe practices or Arc Flash certificate.
• Mechanical certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Passage of Hayward’s forklift certification.
