Job Details

Location: San Solano Mission Parish, Topawa, AZ

Job Title: Maintenance Technician I

Status: Full or part time

Exemption Status: Non-exempt

Salary Grade: 20

Primary Function

Under the direction of the Pastor, Administrator, Business Manager, Office Manager, or School Principal, responsible for performing maintenance duties in a parish, school, or other facility. Must exemplify Catholic values both professionally and personally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support the Church’s spiritual and pastoral mission.
2. Adhere to Catholic principles in all aspects of life and work.
3. Perform general maintenance of facilities and grounds.
4. Maintain equipment and recommend replacements as needed.
5. Keep records of maintenance activities.
6. Manage cleaning supplies inventory.
7. Follow safety and chemical handling laws.
8. Ensure security of buildings and equipment.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Requires coordination, manual dexterity, normal mental and visual abilities, and the ability to lift as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to perform multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
• Team player with punctuality; ability to travel locally; weekend/overtime work may be required.
• Proficiency in computer technology.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Background, criminal, and credit checks required.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
