Job summary

Voith Group in York, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with vendors while adhering to safety standards.

The position is day shift, M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with responsibilities including detailed documentation and compliance with OSHA and Voith safety guidelines. A 2-year maintenance degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2 year degree in a maintenance field or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
• Blueprint reading and electrical diagram reading preferred.
• Proficiency in using a PC for email, work order system and documentation.
• Ability to use various hand tools and support equipment.

• Identify, correct, or recommend corrections to unsafe equipment and facility situations.

• Complete work based on preventive maintenance schedule and supervisor requests to keep the facility operating efficiently.
• Follow OSHA and Voith safety regulations.
• Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance area and work areas.
• Document maintenance inspection results and corrections for records.
• Communicate project and maintenance status updates to affected departments and team members.
• Follow and comply with all Voith procedures and policies.
• Adhere to safety and environmental policies and rules.

Summary:

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment to support safe, efficient operations. Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, lockout/tagout compliance, and coordinating with vendors while meeting safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing preventive, emergency, and routine maintenance of all equipment, buildings, and systems.

Responsible for identifying, correcting, or recommending corrections to unsafe equipment and facility situations.

Work with and direct contractors hired for maintenance activities as necessary.

Complete work based on preventive maintenance schedule and requests from Department Supervisors as needed to keep the facility operating efficiently.

Be familiar with and obey all OSHA and Voith safety regulations.

Maintain good housekeeping practices in maintenance area and work areas.

Document maintenance inspection results and corrections completed for record keeping purposes

Communicate project and maintenance status updates to affected departments and team members.

Follow and comply with all company procedures and/or policies set forth by Voith.

Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and rules.

Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent.
