Job summary

Bay Square at Yarmouth, a Benchmark Senior Living community in Yarmouth, ME, seeks a Maintenance Technician for a full-time Sunday–Thursday schedule (7:30–3:30 or 8:00–4:00). The role focuses on repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Compensation ranges from $19–$21 per hour. Responsibilities include following chemical handling practices, maintaining a clean laundry area, and coordinating with the Maintenance Director on facility

Qualifications

• Familiar with emergency procedures for chemical handling.
• Ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Knowledge of proper usage of chemicals and equipment.

Bay Square at Yarmouth is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Full Time Sunday-Thursday either 7:30-3:30 or 8am-4pm

$19-$21/HR

In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
• Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Works effectively within the work-order system.

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
