Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living's Village at White River Junction is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role performs repairs, executes regular and preventive maintenance, and communicates with the Maintenance Director about building and equipment conditions.

This position offers $25 per hour and opportunities to work on a variety of tasks, from light electrical to painting and carpentry, in a supportive senior living community.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance helps.
• Familiar with safe handling of chemicals and safety protocols.
• Ability to learn new skills and follow safety guidelines.

• Maintains a clean laundry area and stores chemicals safely.
• Follows standards for chemical usage and safety.

The Village at White River Junction is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

$25/HR

In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
• Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Works effectively within the work-order system.
• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
