Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wichita, KS to safely install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across carpentry, paint, electrical, HVAC, janitorial equipment and more.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and safe work practices in an industrial setting. Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM; $16-$19 per hour; benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent training.
  • Two years electrical experience minimum.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must complete safety, environmental and task training/certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance
  • Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
  • Mechanically inclined to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures
  • Maintain maintenance logs and schedules
  • Use hand and power tools, scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in one or more fields (carpentry, paint, electrical, janitorial equipment, HVAC, vehicle/golf cart etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Self-Starter with Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance
  • Perform general cleaning and maintains clean work area
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, electrical & mechanical issues and then repair
  • Comfortable communicating complex issues with superior, co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Proven ability to work safely in industrial environments
  • Familiar with and utilize proper Lock Out/ Tag Out safety procedures
  • Perform preventative equipment maintenance and repairs on all floor equipment, scrubbers, chariot vacuums, extractors, etc.
  • Respond positively to requests in a timely manner
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, use of scissor lifts, ladders and scaffolding. Soldering and welding a plus
  • Maintain maintenance logs and schedules

Education and/ or Experience

Six months minimum experience in a company environment or equivalent experience and or training such as basic plumbing, painting, HVAC or construction. Two years Electrical Experience minimum. High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Must complete all safety, environmental and task training and or certifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

May required to have a valid driver’s license. Forklift and electric pallet jack certification may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
