Job summary

Stark Enterprises in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support daily upkeep and operations of the property. You will respond to work orders, perform general maintenance tasks, and assist with event setups to keep the site clean, functional, and safe for tenants, staff, and visitors.

This role requires a hands-on approach, reliability, and the ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Entry-level maintenance, repair, or construction experience.
• Supervisory experience in facilities or maintenance operations.
• Familiarity with basic tools and equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
• Clear communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders for common areas and tenants.
• Perform light painting and general repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas.
• Assist with installation and upkeep of site signage.
• Operate tools and equipment safely (pressure washers, lifts, forklifts).
• Assist with setup and breakdown of on-site events.
• Monitor safety and report issues.
• Support with tasks to promote safety and event success.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

The Maintenance Technician I supports the daily upkeep and operations of the property by performing general maintenance tasks, responding to work orders, and assisting with event setups. This role plays a key part in ensuring the property remains clean, functional, and safe for tenants, staff, and visitors, while supporting the broader maintenance team in delivering reliable service and upkeep.

Essential Functions:

General Maintenance & Operations:

• Respond promptly to common area and tenant work orders.
• Complete light painting and general repair tasks across the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop and work areas.
• Assist with the installation and upkeep of site signage.
• Remain alert to safety or maintenance concerns and report issues as needed.

Equipment Operation:

• Safely operate tools and equipment including pressure washers, scissors lifts, bucket lifts, and forklifts (as trained).
• Use basic hand and power tools effectively for maintenance needs.

Event & Site Support:

• Participate in the setup and breakdown of on-site special events.
• Support with tasks that promote safety, cleanliness, and event success.
• Monitor the site for safety or security concerns and report to supervisors as necessary.

Other:

• Demonstrate the company’s core values consistently.
• Complete all additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or company.

• Familiarity with basic tools and equipment.

• Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at heights.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions. Ability to bend, kneel, sweep, and perform repetitive motions.
