Job summary

AKA West Hollywood is seeking a reliable Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our luxury apartment team on Sunset Strip. The role covers painting, caulking, HVAC and electrical repairs, door and window maintenance, appliance servicing, and preventative upkeep to keep our residents comfortable.

You will manage work tickets with clear notes, collaborate with team members and residents, and participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hours requests.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hospitality maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools.
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries.
• Accept and complete work tickets with detailed notes.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members and residents.
• Ensure the highest standards of service and professionalism meet residents' needs.
• Report and document any safety concerns to management.
• Be on-call in rotation to handle service requests outside normal hours and respond to emergencies.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 1-2 years prior experience with a hospitality organization.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Reporting and documenting any issues to management that could cause concern for the safety of our residents.

The hospitality industry requires varying schedules to support the business needs of the property. You will be a member of an on-call rotation among maintenance team members to ensure someone is always available to handle service requests outside of normal business hours and responsible for emergencies that may arise outside of normal business hours.
