The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Waverly, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our ScottsMiracle-Gro team. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems on the production line.

Candidates should have prior maintenance experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position pays between $33.65 and $43.60 per hour, with weekly pay and a competitive benefits package.

Formación

• Prior relevant maintenance experience.
• Prefer experience on forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability for prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to read numbers, product descriptions, and maintain written records.
• Ability to push button, monitor controls, and perform basic math functions.

Responsabilidades

• May install machinery and equipment.
• Cutting and welding, including light steel fabrication.
• Inspect and adjust equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Perform maintenance duties or other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate pay for this position at Scotts will generally fall between $33.65 - 43.60 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who will join our ScottsMiracle-Gro team in Waverly, VA

What you’ll do in this role:

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs and maintenance on parts of equipment including machines including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic repairs.
• Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, packaging equipment, grinding equipment and stacking equipment.
• May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment.
• Cut and welding, including light steel fabrication.
• Inspects and adjusts equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Performs maintenance duties or other duties as assigned.
