Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a maintenance professional for two luxury properties in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, DC. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry requests across high-end residences, with emphasis on service quality.

You will perform routine HVAC service, electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and help manage capital projects. Strong customer service and flexibility for evenings and weekends are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance/facilities/building operations.
• Comfort with digital work order systems.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work 8-hour shifts on your feet.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends/on-call.
• Certifications (Preferred, DC).
• EPA 608 (Universal).
• DC 3rd Class Stationary Engineer.
• OSHA 10/30.
• CFC.
• Basic Electrical/Journeyman.
• Plumbing trade certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and close out resident/staff service requests across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
• Perform routine HVAC service (filter changes, thermostat replacement, condensate lines), electrical repairs (outlets, switches, GFCIs, basic troubleshooting), and appliance install/service.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Maintain common areas and amenities; ensure safety/code compliance.
• Support capital projects and technology upgrades (smart thermostats, access control, leak detection).
• Fill in for building engineers or supervisors when necessary.

Days Off: Friday and Saturday

Shift 2:Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Days Off: Saturday & Sunday

The positions will support two of our properties in the Navy Yard Neighborhood

Ideal Candidate Profile

Given the level of service expected at our luxury properties, we’re looking for candidates who bring a combination of strong technical skills and a hospitality mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end residential, multifamily, hospitality, or a similar service-oriented environment.

We would especially like to see candidates with:

• Hands-on experience with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general troubleshooting


• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents


• A polished, professional presence and good communication skills


• A proactive approach to maintenance and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently


• Experience working in luxury residential or high-end hospitality environments is highly preferred


• Flexibility and a team-oriented attitude

Compensation: $56K-60k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
