Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. in Warren, USA, is seeking a Poly Maintenance Technician responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial machinery.

You will prevent downtime, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable production. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of industrial machinery (pouring equipment, ovens, and other production machinery).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Conduct regular equipment assessments to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment safely.
• Execute timely repairs and part replacements to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to order and manage spare parts inventory.
• Install, align, and adjust new equipment as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety inspections on machinery and equipment.

Job description

As a Poly Maintenance Technician at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp., your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. You will play a crucial role in preventing downtime, minimizing disruptions, and optimizing overall production processes within an industrial facility.

Essential Job Functions

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of industrial machinery such as pouring equipment, industrial ovens, and other production machinery as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Conduct regular equipment assessments to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment.

Repair And Replacement

• Execute timely repairs and part replacements to minimize equipment downtime and maintain optimal production levels.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to order and manage spare parts inventory.
• Install, align, and adjust new equipment as needed.

Technical Support

• Adhere to and promote safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
• Conduct safety inspections on machinery and equipment to identify and rectify potential hazards.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
• Document equipment specifications, manuals, and relevant technical information

Training And Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

• Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the maintenance area.
• Participate in facility improvement projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

• Full Time Non-Exempt
• Monday through Friday
• Weekends as needed.
• Required to work onsite 100% of the time.

Travel

• Limited travel in the Warren area

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment.
• Percentage of Office - 5%
• Percentage of Travel - 5%
• Percentage of Manufacturing and Distribution - 80%

Required And Experience
