Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level mechanics with servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines and equipment that operate mechanically.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to ensure efficiency and meet production needs.
• Repair and replace conveyor belts as needed.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Complete maintenance logs and repair logs and notify supervisor of malfunctions or repairs.
• May perform other related duties to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions, including warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or slippery environments, at varied heights and around moving equipment and parts.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday, and occasionally Sunday, with daily overtime.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Start times and hours may vary based on production needs.
• Ability to complete training in:
  • Safety
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Food Defense

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior machine operating experience in a USDA‑inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• Prior maintenance experience.
• Work history within the last 12 months.
