Job summary

Sunset Farm Foods, Inc. in Valdosta, Georgia is expanding its maintenance team and seeking hands-on Maintenance Technicians to keep our meat processing equipment running safely.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and inspect compressors and motor operations. We value 3+ years as an industrial mechanic, familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and conveyors, and experience with 3-phase/120V systems and PLCs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial mechanic experience (food industry a plus).
• Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, and conveyors.
• Familiarity with 3-phase/120V systems and PLC troubleshooting.
• Comfortable reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Own hand tools, and skilled with power tools and multi-meters.
• Electrical and/or ammonia refrigeration experience is a big plus!
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Maintenance Technician

Salary Range: $16.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Sunset Farm Foods, Inc. is a fourth-generation, family-owned meat processing and sausage company in Valdosta, Georgia, in business since 1918. We're growing our Maintenance team and looking for hands-on, dependable technicians who can keep our equipment running and our plant safe. Electrical and ammonia refrigeration experience is a big plus!
