Job summary

MAC Incorporated, Hartwell, GA, seeks a Maintenance Technician for a large food manufacturing facility. You will install, set up, maintain and repair plant equipment and ammonia refrigeration systems used in processing raw materials for pet food, pharmaceuticals and feed industries.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, locating and repairing issues, maintaining inventories, keeping work areas safe, and supporting PSM/PM programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and Vocational Technical school and 1–3 years of experience and/or equivalent experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Maintains machinery and equipment by performing preventative maintenance on production machines.
• Locates problems by observing devices, listening for malfunctions, and using measuring tools.
• Keeps inventories of equipment, parts and supplies and places orders as needed.
• Maintains clean, safe shop and work areas.

• Supports updating the PSM & PM programs.
• Maintains knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing technical materials.

Looking for someone with experience wiring motors, working up to 480v, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics.

SHIFT: 6PM-6AM 223 SCHEDULE

PAY RATE: $25.26 HOURLY

Job Description: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Company is seeking a Motivated Individual To Perform a Variety Of Tasks In Any Number Of Areas In The Operation Including Install, Set Up, Maintenance And Repair Of Plant Equipment And Ammonia Refrigeration System In The Processing Of Raw Materials For The Pet Food, Pharmaceutical And Feed Industries.

Maintain General Maintenance Of The Building And Facilities By Performing The Following Tasks

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
• Maintain all shop, engine rooms and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion
• Complete all assigned work orders in a timely manner
• Assist in updating the PSM & PM Programs
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Adhere to attendance guidelines of the company at the assigned work location
• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and in their proper place
• Daily rounds
