Job summary

Balance Staffing is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency, including PLCs, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation controls.

The position requires experience in industrial maintenance, the ability to read schematics, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician or related role.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Experience with electrical systems, motors, sensors, VFDs, and controls.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or automated environments preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and production lines.
• Diagnose PLC-controlled systems and automation issues.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

Pay: $38.50

Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Type: Direct Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a state-of-the‑art manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Technicians will work with PLCs, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and production lines
• Diagnose PLC-controlled systems and automation issues
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
