Job summary

Johnston Ford is hiring a Quick Lane Maintenance Technician to keep vehicles safe and well maintained. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and recommend services, with on-the-job training provided.

No dealership experience required; we value a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and teamwork. Growth opportunities exist within Ford-certified paths as you advance your technician career.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Desire to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes
• Complete tire rotations and tire repairs
• Mount and balance tires
• Perform Multi-Point Vehicle Inspections (MPI)
• Check and maintain fluid levels
• Inspect brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and filters
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on inspection findings
• Install cabin and engine air filters
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
• Deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians to provide an excellent customer experience
