Job summary

Snap-tite Hose in Erie, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our industrial facilities running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and building system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with team members to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and hands-on experience with plumbing, wiring, carpentry, and use of precision measuring tools. A background with CMMS and safety compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measuring tools to assess and ensure the accuracy of repairs and installations.
• Install, repair, and maintain drywall, carpentry elements, and other building materials as needed.
• Climb ladders and access elevated areas safely to inspect and service equipment or building components.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report issues and coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of facility infrastructure by performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks. This position requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and implementing effective solutions to prevent downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical wiring, mechanical repair, and carpentry.

• Good hearing and verbal communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations related to building maintenance.
• Additional skills in welding or HVAC repair.
• Prior experience working in a commercial or industrial facility environment.
