Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is hiring for an industrial Maintenance role at our Tulare, CA facility. You will maintain production equipment, perform regular inspections, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep the plant running.

This role requires strict safety compliance, strong teamwork, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Weekend/overtime work and a union contract are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 6+ months of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals.
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Job description

Pay: $34.61 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 2nd Shift; 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; Monday–Thursday one week, followed by Monday–Thursday with Saturday and Sunday the following week. Weekends/Overtime as needed.

This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing maintenance of the facility and production equipment to ensure our plants can add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You’ll be responsible for the installation, ongoing maintenance, and necessary repairs for the facility and the production equipment. You will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Join our team to become part of a member-owned co-op that is Rooted In Tomorrow.

Required Experience And Skills

• Must be 18 years or older
• 6+ months of industrial maintenance experience
• Basic computer and math skills
• Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and product manuals
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
• Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years’ experience working with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
• LOTO experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
• Required to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
