Job summary

Ecumen is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Wisconsin to perform basic maintenance and janitorial duties at Forest Heights and River Town Heights. The role includes light plumbing, electrical tasks, carpentry, grounds and snow removal, and some on-call duties.

The position offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with pay $23.00–$27.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 6% 401(k) match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• One year of janitorial/maintenance experience required.
• Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and services building mechanical needs including minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Janitorial duties including carpet extraction, specialty cleaning, and hard floor care; routine housekeeping.
• Performs minor carpentry and drywall/painting tasks.
• Operates building equipment including air handling equipment and emergency power generators.
• Reports and records equipment data in preventive maintenance software.
• Provides basic grounds maintenance including cutting grass and snow removal.
• Completes minor vehicle maintenance including oil change.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

  • The targeted pay range for this job is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Diagnoses, repairs, and services building mechanical needs including minor plumbing (faucets, etc.), electrical (replace lamps, etc.), and mechanical (furnace, air conditioning, etc.).
2. Responsible for janitorial duties such as carpet extraction, specialty cleaning tasks, and hard floor care, and routine housekeeping tasks.
3. Performs minor carpentry and drywall/painting tasks.
4. Operates building equipment including air handling equipment (including filter/belt replacement) and emergency power generators (including minor engine maintenance).
5. Responsible for reporting and recording equipment data in preventive maintenance software.
6. Provides basic grounds maintenance including cutting grass and snow removal.
7. Completes minor vehicle maintenance including oil change.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements

Local Travel and Driver's License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of janitorial/maintenance experience
• Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in related field
• Previous experience working with seniors
