Conifer Realty is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Affordable Housing in Ithaca, NY. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance across apartments and common areas, such as painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.

This full-time role includes on-call rotation, on-site teamwork with residents, and opportunities for growth. The position offers competitive pay, 13 holidays, PTO, health benefits, retirement plans, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Care for the grounds and maintain curb appeal (landscaping, snow/ice removal, seasonal upkeep).

Salary: $24.00 - $26.00 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 40hrs | On-Call Rotation

You’re skilled, dependable, and care about doing the job right. You bring:

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).
• A high school diploma or GED.

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
