Conifer Realty LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for affordable housing in Ithaca, NY. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance across apartments and common areas, including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance, a HS diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and reliable transportation. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Salary is $24-$26 per hour, full-time, with on-call rotation.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed.
• Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!).
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents!

Responsabilidades

• Care for the grounds – maintenance of curb appeal, landscaping, snow/ice removal, seasonal upkeep.
• Respond with urgency – complete work orders promptly and rotate for emergency on-call coverage (respond within 30 minutes).
• Prioritize quality & compliance – follow all safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.
• Be part of a team that cares – work closely with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in every repair.

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
